OPENING QUEIONSTS: None Today ═══════════════════════════ Please take out a sheet of lined paper, a pencil (NO PENS) and your calculator
1) You are floating in outer space within site of a black hole (uh oh). You just happen to be carrying a baseball in your spacesuit. Just for fun you pitch the baseball directly towards the black hole at 33.528 meters/sec. Lets also pretend the black hole is exerting a constant force on the baseball resulting in an acceleration of the baseball at 17.31 meters/sec/sec. Where is the baseball 10. hrs later?
2) You lean out the window of a 70. floor (h=213.3 meters) building on the 51st floor (h=155 meters) and shoot a steel ballbearing straight upwards with an initial velocity of 36.99 m/s. Where is the ballbearing 6.29 seconds later? ═══════════════════════════ We'll spend the rest of our time today doing a PRE-LAB for a VERY cool lab. To wit: Your job in this lab is to determine IF we can develop a mathematical relationship between the mass of a toilet paper roll and the length of toilet paper stretched out from it. LAB DESCRIPTION IS HERE |
